Smartphones are taking over our lives. It’s hard to
separated working life from our own private lives now. For example bosses can
easily make last minute changes over text or email you on your smartphone to
let you know. It’s hard to plan for the future because smartphones are causing
last minute changes. Some studies showed that smartphones are a distraction to
what is needed to get done. Individuals rather check their e-mails or other social media network than complete
what needs to get done. If smartphones weren’t constantly a distraction
individuals would go deeper into their work and perform better. It’s hard to
take a break from your smartphone in this day’s age unless you live in away
from civilization.A hard working organization proved that we can break of being slaves to our smartphones because they had a certain time they had to
be offline. At the beginning workers were annoyed of the rules but in the end
it forced workers to work and produce more productivity and it reduced
burnouts. Just imagine if we all took a break from our smartphone for a while
how much more work we would get done without the distractions?
