Kendall was explaining that the digital world is changing our way
of life. For example there was a big
difference between heavily multitaskers and light multitaskers. It showed that
the heavily multitaskers easily got distracted and less able to maintain their
concentration. The internet encourages procrastination. Piers Steel a professor
of phycology at the University of Calgary, did a research on people admitting
that they procrastinate. In 1978 the average procrastination rate was 15
percent and today studies show it is at 60 percent. The probability of showing
how it raised could most likely tie into social media and the use of
smartphones.
