Could our social media accounts become our own paparazzi?

I agree with Patricia "the goal of Facebook and other social networks is to be someone, gain popularity with our friends and family, through social media we act like our own paparazzi." we are so selfconscious  so we create a social media account and only post what we think will get a bunch of likes and shares. It surprises me today that when something funny or memorable I hear my friends say “oh that’s going on Facebook.” Or “that photo is going on Instagram.” Our world is changing to be more online than face-to-face relationships.
